So I get asked a lot, "Why is your site called 'hillyboob?'  Are you some kind of perv or something?"  I assure you I am not a perv.  My last name is Hill, and one day a long time ago I was trying to set up an AOL Instant Messenger account.  Every screen name I could come up with was taken and I was getting really frustrated.  Finally I just typed in Hillyboob and it worked!  I thought it was a good play on my last name (some people call me "Hilly"). The 'boob' part was not taken from the idea of female breasts, but from the other definition of 'boob', which is a "foolish or silly person".  I think I was more excited that I actually found a screen name that wasn't taken than about the possible confusion behind the name.  I was not about to settle for a stupid screen name like "hill1295876294028zzPaul" or something insane like that.  Cause that's the kind of generated stuff they suggested I use instead of all the ones I typed in that were already taken.

So there you have it.

Hillyboob, also known as Paul Hill, was born on the same day Pee-wee Herman turned 19 years old.  Paul was born in an Army hospital outside of Boston and cost only five dollars to be delivered.  He was so small his parents carried him home in a shoe box lined with tissue paper.  According to deathclock.com, he will die on Wednesday, July 7th, 2060 (possibly from an allergic reaction to the smell of leather).

But now he lives in a modest home in Columbus, Ohio and works in the Art & Technology facility as Studio Manager and Avid Editor at the Wexner Center for the Arts.  He gets to work on lots of cool video projects there with artists from around the world.  Hillyboob studied film production and theory at Wright State University in Dayton and recently completed an award winning documentary called Myth of Father.  It's been shown around the world at lots of festivals and TV venues, and is currently being distributed by a for real distribution outfit out of San Francisco.  He received both an Individual Artist Grant and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Ohio Arts Council to complete the project.
